Acknowledgments are not waivers
When a diver acknowledges a final brief, they are confirming they reviewed the objective, their role, the buddy assignment, the user-entered limits and abort criteria, and the emergency summary. Dive Brief never describes this acknowledgment as a waiver, a release, an assumption-of-risk contract, or a legally binding signature — and it never claims that reviewing a plan shifts responsibility away from any individual diver.
User-entered values stay user-entered
Depths, runtimes, turn criteria, gas reserves, and abort conditions are supplied by your organizer using your own training, agency standards, and dive computer. Dive Brief displays these values clearly labeled as user-provided — it does not calculate or recommend them.
